My hobby, when I make time for it, is sculpting. There’s something so exhilarating about creating something. I can really relate to Michelangelo’s comment that the finished item is within the block of marble. Michelangelo said “I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.”To paraphrase, the artist’s job is just to take away the unnecessary pieces. Taking away the unnecessary pieces brings up an interesting point. We keep ourselves so busy. Perhaps we need to focus more on the right things, rather than everything…
