Weekly Fundraising Headlines and Blog

I was having tea with a delightful new friend earlier today. We were enjoying some time outside when a praying mantis landed on me – not once, but twice. It hung out with me for a while on my cup. A beautiful creature – so small and delicate. I thought, wow – a great illustration to begin my blog with. But then I read up on the praying mantis. Perhaps she’d be better suited with the name ‘preying’ mantis.

According to Wikipedia, One of the earliest references to a mantis is in the early Chinese dictionary Erya, which lists courage and fearlessness as its attributes. Perhaps there’s a way to redeem this reference after all. As nonprofit leaders, we are living in times that call for us to be courageous and fearless. We are raising money and striving to change the world and, in many ways, we are drawing the roadmap as we go. Let us forge ahead while we learn together and face the challenges (and opportunities) of a new day.

Here’s a summary of this week’s articles and blogs related to fundraising and nonprofit organizations. As always, please share this with others might benefit from the information. Thanks again for reading!
