Kirsten’s Fundraising Headlines – September 20, 2011

This post is getting a little more personal than I’m comfortable with, but enough people have asked me what it took to lose 40 pounds that I thought it might be good to reflect on the topic. During my reflection, I realized that there were many similarities with accomplishing any major project, including the raising of funds. Just as raising money is not about the money, losing weight really isn’t about the weight. It’s my intention to come back to this list and reflect on it more, but here’s my list to get started.

Where I’ll be next – upcoming dates:

Sept. 21 – Keeping Your Donors Happy, at the Center for Nonprofit Excellence

Sept. 21 – Introduction to Fundraising / Philanthropy, Junior League of Louisville

Oct. 3 – On-line Fundraising Q&A Call

Oct. 7 – Growing Your Nonprofit, in partnership with Business First

Oct. 11 – FREE Webinar (Growing Your Donors)

Below is a summary of articles and blogs from the past week related to fundraising and nonprofit organizations. As always, please forward this to others who might benefit from the information. Hope you have a fabulous week!
